Summer festival additions and details
The band’s busy summer diary has now expanded with some new gigs added to it and further details have been confirmed for the existing scheduled concerts.
Firstly, four new dates have been confirmed which take in Poland, Slovakia, Ireland and one in the UK. The Polish gig is at a bikers’ event called the Easy Rider Party near Krakow on Saturday 26 June.
No more details have been confirmed as yet on their website (which has an English translation).
The date in Slovakia is Thursday 8 July at the Pohoda festival in Trencin. Ticket and location details are now available on their website (again with translation).
The band then fly across to Ireland where they are playing Oxegen festival on Saturday the 10 July. Tickets are on sale now. Completing a busy weekend, the band then appear at T in the Park in Scotland on the Sunday.
The last new date at present is at Weyfest which sees the band returning to the Surrey area where they formed back in 1974. This festival takes place in Tilford, near Farnham with the Stranglers playing on Sunday 5 September. Day or weekend tickets are available now from the Weyfest website.
Further summer gigs are in the pipeline too…
The band’s stage details for the Glastonbury festival have now been finalised. They will be appearing on the Other Stage at 12.30pm on Friday 25th June for those lucky enough to have tickets. The local low key warm-up at the Cheese & Grain in Frome which happens the night before is selling very well.
There has been a change to the Greek gig with Billy Idol on Friday 18 June. This concert has now been moved to a different venue due to technical issues with the previous stadium. The new location is the 10,000 capacity Apostolos Nikolaidis stadium (which is home to the Panathinaikos football team) which is more central in Athens. Further details will follow once we have them.
