Getting there

Travel Links Kings Cross is a transportation hub so lots of possibilities:

-By Tube Kings Cross station (Lines: Piccadilly, Hammersmith and City, Northern, Victoria, Circle, Metropolitan).

Update 5/11- There are lots of engineering works on the tube that weekend which may affect your travel plans, please check TFL website (Thanks to Paul Smith)

-By Train Easily accessible from Kings Cross, St Pancras (including Eurostar) and Euston stations

NB Please check the TFL website for more details including bus routes. Travel by car is not ideal due to the high costs of parking in London. Let the train take the strain...

Where to stay or eat/drink?

Accomodation Lots available in the locality. Examples can be found on Expedia or Travelodge. You can also search on Booking.com.

Food and drink Kings Cross has many restaurants in the area covering all tastes and prices. There are many bars and pubs too including The Dolphin right opposite the venue entrance.

Convention Events (live performances in bold)

NB: Due to unforseen circumstances, Glen Matlock and The Philistines are now unable to appear so their place has been ably taken by R&B icon Wilko Johnson. Please note: Times may vary slightly over the course of the weekend's events.

Auction

Sunday afternoon's auction sees an amazing collection of band related items and instruments up for grabs. The full details of the lots can be viewed on a separate page here. They should attract some real interest from both serious collectors and fans alike.

Please note: If you win any auction item at the event, it will need to be paid for on the day, either in cash or by credit/debit card via the MAM merchandise stall.

Happy bidding...

General info etc

Merchandise A limited quantity of merch will be available to buy at the Convention.

Recording equipment As with a standard concert, recording equipment will not be permitted in the venue. Camera phones and small digital cameras will be allowed but no 'professional' cameras. The weekend's performances are being recorded (and some videoed) for later release.

Cloakroom facilities There are only limited cloakroom facilities at the venue itself so there may not be room for all luggage etc. The venue staff recommend that you use either left luggage lockers at nearby mainline stations or facilities at your hotel if possible.

Pub quiz Following the Black and White set on the Saturday night, John Robb will be running a Stranglers related pub quiz in the small side room. It is free to enter and the victorious team will win a special signed item each. We only have room for a total of ten teams of five to enter and the quiz should last around 45 minutes. If you wish to take part, please email the SOS website contact address in advance. Please mark the subject line 'Pub Quiz'. We can place you into a team if necessary or take full team entries. First come, first served. Due to space constraints, entry into the side room will be for quiz teams only on the night. Good luck, may the best team win... Update 16/11- Entries now closed as teams are full

Band Q&A During Sunday's events, the band will take part in a Q&A session with some questions being provided by the fans attending. If you have a question you'd like to put forward, please send it to us at the SOS email address with 'Band Q&A' in the topic line. A selection will be made before the Convention and John Robb will put the chosen questions to the band. Clearly, due to a tight schedule, not all questions from fans canl be selected. Update 16/11- Questions are with John Robb for his selection.

Further info to follow...see you there!
